The continuing downturn in the plastics industry has led to the closure of many companies, and college-based plastics training programs are feeling the same pressures.

Most recently, as reported last week, Humber College in Toronto is closing its Canadian Plastics Training Centre (CPTC), which was founded in the 1990s and trained more than 1500 students in plastics processing.

We speak with Hamid Mohammadi, an instructor at the centre since 1996, and take one final look around the now-defunct centre.
