Canadian supplier grabs large China order

GE Plastics China Ltd. has recently placed an order for 150 loss-in-weight feeders with Mississauga, ON-based Brabender Technologie Inc. The feeder will be used for bulk ingredient and liquid metering in multiple compounding lines located in province Guangdong in southern China. One of the major criteria in the purchasing decision was Brabender’s FlexWall Plus Feeder technology, according to a release. The feeders work independently of stirring agitators and accommodate interchangeable twin or single screw feeders in the same feeder. The feeders’ minimum cleaning requirements and digital, high resolution load cell allowing feed rates as low as 200 g/hr were also factors in the decision.
