British Vita acquires Canadian companies

British Vita PLC has acquired the outstanding 50% shareholdings of its associated Canadian group of companies, Vitafoam Products Canada Ltd., Engineered Foam Products Ltd., and subsidiaries. British Vita also acquired 100% of the share capital of Tormay Management Corp. and 641703 Ontario Ltd., which supply ancillary services to Vitafoam.
Vitafoam Canada manufactures and sells flexible polyurethane foam for a wide range of comfort and industrial applications. Price of the purchase was $36.6 million, which was financed from existing cash and debt facilities.
