BASF renames Engelhard

As of August 1, Engelhard Corp. will now go by the name BASF Catalysts LLC, as part of its integration into the BASF Group.
BASF finalized its purchase of Engelhard on June 12.
The new corporate name has been registered in the U.S., and will extend the name to Engelhard’s businesses in other regions wihtin the coming months, BASF said.
Although Engelhard is not exclusively a catalysts firm, its Appearance and Performance Technologies and Ventures divisions will operate as part of BASF Catalysts until they are transferred to other existing BASF units, the firm said.
