BASF Corp. has provided a $30,000 grant to the wildlife rehabilitation and environmental education group, Earth Rangers, to help build a new centre in Woodbridge, ON. The energy-efficient centre will house a small theatre, interactive educational displays and specialized facilities to rescue and rehabilitate injured, displaced or orphaned animals.
Sections of the building were insulated with some of BASF’s products. The building will use approximately 60% less energy than a building designed to meet standard codes. The new Earth Ranger centre is scheduled to open in spring 2004.
