ATS moves Texas production back to Ontario

ATS Automation Tooling Systems Inc. (Cambridge, ON) is closing a small contract manufacturing facility in McAllen, TX, as part of an ongoing program to enhance the performance of its Precision Components Group (PCG). Existing programs from the McAllen facility will be transferred to other ATS plants in the Cambridge, ON, area.By assimilating the McAllen production into existing Precision Components operations, ATS expects to reduce overall PCG operating costs ion the near term, and achieve better capacity utilization and improved economies of scale longer term.ATS designs and produces turnkey automated manufacturing systems, and manufactures precision components and sub-assemblies incorporating plastic and metal.
