American Maplan adds sheet extrusion lines; names Szoke product manager (November 14, 2005)

McPherson, Kansas-based American Maplan Corp., a supplier of profile dies and extrusion machinery for construction, is adding sheet extrusion systems to its product lineup. Charles Szoke has been named Sheet Systems product manager to direct the company’s entry into the market.
American Maplan will combine its single- and twin-screw extruders with technology from Battenfeld Extrusionstechnik, Germany, to develop sheet lines with capacities to 3,000 lb./hr. Single-screw extruders will be available in seven sizes ranging from 45mm. to 220mm. in diameter. Counter-rotating twin-screw extruders will also come in seven sizes, from 40mm. to 168mm. in diameter.
