Alcoa wins major closure contract (April 18, 2005)

The Alcoa division Alcoa Closure Systems International, Inc. (CSI) has acquired a multi-year contract in the U.S. to supply 100% of the plastic closures for the Kroger Company’s brand of bottled water and soft drinks. Alcoa CSI has already begun shipping its patented tamper-evident 28mm Wing-Lok, 38mm Double-Lok and 26mm Aqua-Lok closures to Kroger plants in Texas and Ohio.

Alcoa CSI operates 29 locations worldwide and has about 6,000 employees.
