Specialty resins manufacturer AGC Chemicals Americas, Inc. has opened a new business and technical centre in Exton, Pa.
The new centre will serve as operations centre for the company’s sales and marketing group as well as promote research and development of new products and technical solutions as part of the company’s overall business development strategy.
The company plans to have the business and technical centre fully operational by Q1 of 2007 with research and development of specialty chemicals and compounds for areas of applications and markets involving transportation, chemical processing, resource recovery, life sciences, and electronics industries.
“This facility and its infrastructure will enable AGC Chemicals Americas to better serve our customers with improved new product and application development capabilities. It will help us greatly reduce the lead time in bringing solutions to our customers challenges,” Adam Brozzetti, VP of sales and marketing, said.
Bayonne, N.J.-based AGC Chemicals, a wholly owned subsidiary of Asahi Glass Company of Japan, manufactures, markets and sells high performance fluoropolymer resins and compounds, fluoroelastomers, and fluorinated solvents.
In addition to its headquarters in Bayonne, the company has manufacturing sites in Thorndale, Pa., and Charlotte, N.C., and satellite sales offices throughout the United States.
