Ontario-based aerospace parts supplier Cyclone Manufacturing Inc. has received $8 million in federal funding to increase production capacity, expand its services, and grow its customer base.

The funding comes from the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario (FedDev Ontario).

“This funding will allow our company to better meet consumer needs in the aerospace industry,” Cyclone Manufacturing president Andrew Sochaj said in a statement. “We will be able to purchase new equipment, and expand our production space, which will result in a new production line.”

The statement also said that Cyclone Manufacturing will use the funding to buy and install new equipment, expand facility space, and introduce new advanced production lines to help the company produce and finish specialized aerospace components for OEMs.

Founded in 1964, Cyclone Manufacturing has four locations, totaling 270,000 square feet, in Mississauga and Milton, Ont. Part of the funding will support the addition of 180,000 square feet of facility space.
