The regional management committee of ACIP Quebec, the Quebec office of the Canadian Plastics Industry Association (CPIA), will meet next month to discuss, among other things, its future within the national association.

“We need to hear directly from you about the future of ACIP Quebec,” said Denis Cloutier, the chair of ACIP Quebec, in an open letter posted on the CPIA website. “Our industry is going through massive changeand the association needs to make changes as well. I want to ensure that plastics manufacturers in Quebec have a full voice in the governance and programs of the national association.”

Another topic open for discussion, Cloutier continued, will be the best way to cooperate with any new Quebec-based association that may be created a reference to the Federation of Plastics and Composites Alliance (FEPAC), a new Quebec plastics organization scheduled to be launched in June 2008.

The ACIP Quebec meeting will take place on Thursday, May 8 at 2:00, at the Auditorium, L’Institut des matriaux industriels, 75 boul. de Mortagne, Boucherville. To confirm participation, please email Junie Jean Claude, at jjclaude@acipquebec.ca.
