A group of Canadian automotive suppliers have been recognized by General Motors as the automaker unveiled its 21st annual Supplier of the Year award winners earlier this month.
Five Canadian firms, all headquartered in Ontario, were among the list of 83 suppliers to receive the award of excellence from GM.
“Suppliers play a critical role in our business and we’re thrilled to recognize those we consider to be world-class,” GM vice president of global purchasing and supply chain Grace Lieblein said in a statement. “Each winning company consistently exceeded our expectations by being innovative, delivering high quality products and services on time and by creating outstanding value.”
The Canadian winners are Bend All Automotive of North Dumfries, Ont.; Infasco Nut, of Mississauga, Ont.; MSB Plastics Manufacturing of Etobicoke, Ont.; and the Narmco Group of Windsor, Ont.
According to GM, the 83 recipients make up less than one per cent of its approximately 18,500 suppliers around the world. The Supplier of the Year winners are chosen by a global team of GM purchasing, engineering, quality, manufacturing and logistics executives.
