Chinese auto parts maker Minghua to build new Michigan HQ

Minghua USA Inc, a Chinese automotive parts maker, will open a new North American headquarters in Troy, Michigan, according to the local media sources.

The automotive firm, a subsidiary of Jiangnon Mold Plastics Technology, announced plans to spend over US$8.4 million creating its new Troy headquarters.

The company received a US$500,000 Michigan Business Development performance-based grant for the project.

Minghua makes bumpers, automotive plastics and high-tech molds. The Troy HQ will focus on sales and R&D.

Jiangnan Mold Plastics Technology is said to be one of the largest suppliers of plastic parts in China’s automotive industry. In 2016, the company invested US$45 million to build a manufacturing operation in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
