China to get new plastics research centre

China XD Plastics Company, the country’s largest manufacturer and distributor of modified plastics for use in automotive applications, is building a new plastics research centre named Harbin Xinda Macromolecule Material Engineering Center Co.
According to the company, the new research centre will provide technical support for its recently expanded modified plastic production base and enhance its research and development capabilities for modified plastics in new applications.
“We are very pleased to announce this new research and development center, which will enhance our research and product development efforts, increase our ability to influence the industry, and provide us with a powerful platform to achieve our growth targets, while at the same time qualifying for as a State level research centre,” said Jie Han, the company’s chairman and CEO.
The new facility will be fully operational in early 2011.
China XD Plastics Company is headquartered in Harbin, Heilongjiang Province, China. It also has an office in New York City.
