Canadian auto parts supplier ABC Group is partnering with China’s Yapp Automotive Parts Co. to provide plastic fuel tanks in Asia, North America and Europe.

ABC Group Fuel Systems Inc. announced the signing of a strategic alliance agreement with Yapp on July 22.

“There has been a shift in automotive manufacturing requirements towards the use of global automotive platforms, with a single common architecture, including design, engineering, and production, as well as major components,” the companies said in a statement. “This strategic alliance strengthens market share for both companies, as it will allow the companies to meet global automotive platform requirements.”
