Solutia to increase cost of engineering thermoplastic resins

Solutia Inc. will increase the price of Vydyne nylon 6,6 engineering thermoplastic resins in North America by 10 per cent effective March 20, the company has announced, citing higher costs in raw materials.

Solutia and 14 of its U.S. subsidiaries filed for bankruptcy protection in December.

Its family of nylon products also includes the Ascend nylon 6,6 fiber polymer.
