Cincinnati, Ohio-based plastics processing equipment manufacturer Milacron Inc. has appointed Robert K. Simpson president of its global plastics machinery division.
Simpson, 47, comes to Milacron as the former president of injection molder Siegel-Robert Automotive. Prior to that, he held a succession of positions at Textron, including president of Kautex Textron North America, a supplier of blow molded gas tanks.
According to Milacron, Simpson will be responsible for all aspects of global plastics machinery, including engineering, manufacturing, sales, service and aftermarket. Additionally, the heads of Milacron’s three major global plastics machinery businesses injection molding, blow molding and extrusion will report to him.
“Bob Simpson’s experience and leadership skills align perfectly with the key initiatives we are driving throughout our global machinery business,” Ronald D. Brown, Milacron’s chairman, president and CEO, said. “His in-depth knowledge as an end-user of plastics machinery and technology, along with his proven ability to lead and get results, will be instrumental to achieving our sales growth and product cost-reduction objectives.”
