Auxiliary supplier Conair and Frances Sepro Robotique have formed Sepro America, a joint-venture company to market robots and automation solutions in Canada and the U.S.
Each of the companies will own 50 per cent of the new organization, which will be based in Conairs headquarters building in Pittsburgh, Pa.
Jean Michel Renaudeau, Sepros managing director, will be CEO of Sepro America, which will begin official operations on August 6.
According to Conair, all of the companys existing contracts will be transferred to and fulfilled by Sepro America, and all Conair sales representatives are expected to continue selling the Sepro line.
We have positioned our products as number one in the automotive market and number one in robots for larger injection molding machines over 1,000 tons, Sepros Renaudeau said. North America continues to be a top priority market for us[which is why] Sepro has decided to commit additional resources and form this joint venture.
