Bunting Magnetics in growth mode; buys Moulders Supply

Bunting Magnetics Co. has purchased Toronto-based auxiliary equipment manufacturer The New Moulders Supply Company, Inc. through a recently formed subsidiary, Bunting Magnetics Canada Inc.
“With the manufacturing sector showing signs of a real turnaround, our focus is shifting from a stabilization mode to a growth mode for 2003,” said Bob Bunting, president of Bunting Magnetics Co. “The acquisition of The New Moulders Supply Company enhances our presence by giving us a new product line and expanding our customer base.”
The New Moulders Supply Company, Inc. will be renamed Bunting Magnetics Canada, Inc. The Canadian operation will continue to manufacture its “MOVE-IT” Systems(tm) conveyor line, including under-the-press conveyors, incline conveyors and paddle-wheel type parts separators for the plastic molding industry. It will also continue to manufacture nozzles and to distribute supplies to the plastics industry.
The new organization will function as a stand-alone operation, separate in its marketing, operations and accounting functions from Bunting Magnetics Co., but reporting directly to Bob Bunting.
Bill and Arlene Bell, former owners of The New Moulders Supply Company, Inc., will be retiring, but their sons will continue working with Bunting. Dave Bell will become regional sales manager and Kevin Bell will become branch manager of the Canadian operation.
