Industrial automation equipment supplier Omron Corporation has a new head of its automation and safety business in the Americas.

Robert (Robb) M. Black is the division’s new president and chief operating officer.

According to Omron, Black has an extensive background in industrial automation and has held leadership positions at Honeywell, Turck and Rockwell Automation.

“Robb comes to us with a wealth of knowledge and experience from well-respected global automation companies,” said Omron Automation and Safety for the Americas CEO Nigel Blakeway. “He has built a great foundation as a leader in his previous roles in sales, marketing and product management.”
