Injection molding machine supplier Boy Machines Inc. has realigned its management structure, with Robert Koch leaving the president’s post and Carl Schiffer, managing partner of Dr. Boy GmbH and co-owner of Boy Machines Inc., taking over as president.

“The long-term realignment plan, which had been developed cooperatively between the owners and U.S.-based management, was planned and executed to streamline the management structure and to enable Boy to respond efficiently and effectively to changing North American market conditions,” the company said in a press release.

The company stressed that Koch is not retiring, but will stay on in another capacity. Following a period of management transition, he will relocate to his hometown of Cleveland, Ohio, where he will oversee sales in the Midwest region and handle special assignments for Boy. Koch had served as president of Boy for the past eight years and had earlier served as the company’s national sales manager.

Boy Machines, Inc. is the exclusive U.S. importer of Boy injection molding machines. The company has been selling and servicing machines in North America for 40 years.
