The Society of the Plastics Industry (SPI) is now accepting nominations for the latest round of inductees into the Plastics Hall of Fame.

The Society of the Plastics Industry (SPI) is now accepting nominations for the latest round of inductees into the Plastics Hall of Fame.

 

SPI administers the nominating process on behalf of The Plastics Academy, whose officials make up the initial screening committee. The induction ceremony will take place March 22, 2015, at a reception held on the eve of SPI’s NPE2015 trade show and conference, slated for March 23-27, in Orlando, Fla.

To be eligible, nominations must be submitted no later than Sept. 26, 2014.

 

“Election into the Plastics Hall of Fame is the greatest honor bestowed on individuals in our industry. These are people who, through their tireless dedication and extraordinary accomplishments, have significantly contributed to the advancement of the plastics industry,” said Jay Gardiner, president of The Plastics Academy and president of Gardiner Plastics, Inc. “We encourage nominations from both individuals and companies in the Plastics Industry worldwide.”

 

The Plastics Academy screening committee will select up to 12 nominated individuals for consideration by the living members of the Plastics Hall of Fame. These members will select up to nine inductees who will be honored at the Hall of Fame Awards Ceremony on the eve of SPI’s NPE2015 grand opening, March 22, at the Chapin Theatre in the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando.

 

Nomination forms are available at the SPI website – www.plasticsindustry.org – or can be obtained by emailing Jane Mott-Palmer, executive assistant to the president of SPI – at jmott@plasticsindustry.org – or by calling 1-202-974-5224.
