International event organizer UBM Canon has announced plans to produce an advanced design and manufacturing event of co-located trade shows and conferences in Montreal in November 2012.

International event organizer UBM Canon has announced plans to produce an advanced design and manufacturing event of co-located trade shows and conferences in Montreal in November 2012.

The event, which will take place from November 14-15 at the city’s Palais des Congres trade hall, will be patterned on the Plast-Ex trade show, held this past June in Toronto.

The Montreal lineup includes the long-running Expoplast show (now in its 35th year), Design & Manufacturing Montreal, Contract Manufacturing Expo, Automation Technology Expo (ATX) Montreal, AeroCon, Sustainability in Manufacturing, PACKEX Montreal, and Process Technology/Powder Bulk Solids (PTX/PBS) Montreal.

“Montreal is the largest city in the province of Quebec and the second largest in the whole country. The province has its own GDP of $301 billion,” said UBM Canon’s North American events director Joshua Dome. “So an event in Quebec is the perfect complement to the foundation laid this year in Toronto.”
