In a bid to further expand in the Asia-Pacific region, U.S.-based color and additive concentrate maker Ampacet Corporation has acquired Allied Color and Additives (ACA), an Australian masterbatch concentrate manufacturer.

In a bid to further expand in the Asia-Pacific region, U.S.-based color and additive concentrate maker Ampacet Corporation has acquired Allied Color and Additives (ACA), an Australian masterbatch concentrate manufacturer.

The terms of the deal have not been disclosed, and the closing of the acquisition is currently anticipated to occur in July.

Headquartered in Mitcham, Australia, ACA specializes in color and functional additive masterbatches for the Australian and New Zealand markets. The privately-held company employs 40 and operates manufacturing facilities in both Australia and New Zealand. 

Based in Tarrytown, N.Y., Ampacet employs more than 1,900 people worldwide and operates 22 technical and color development centres and manufacturing sites throughout the Americas, Asia, and Europe.
