Germany-based processing equipment manufacturer KraussMaffei AG has appointed Jan Siebert as CEO effective from 1 January 2012.

Germany-based processing equipment manufacturer KraussMaffei AG has appointed Jan Siebert as CEO effective from 1 January 2012.

Siebert will succeed Dr. Dietmar Straub, who has managed the KraussMaffei Group since April 2007 and who is leaving the company at his own request.

Currently, Siebert he is the president and CEO of Bochum, Germany-based GEA Heat Exchangers GmbH., which employs approximately 8,000 people worldwide and generated sales in 2010 of 1.5 billion euros

“Jan Siebert is a successful global business leader with an outstanding track record in the engineering sector,” said KraussMaffei chairman Dr. Kurt Kinzius. “I welcome his appointment and I am convinced that he will strengthen the business activities of the KraussMaffei Group in core markets and expand the presence of our company in emerging markets worldwide.”
