The Chinese subsidiary of German/Austrian processing equipment maker battenfeld-cincinnati Extrusion Systems Ltd. is delivering an order for 25 extruders to an unnamed major Chinese pipe manufacturer.
“Of the 25 pipe extrusion lines ordered, 14 are to be equipped with dies to manufacture HDPE pipes with diameters ranging from 125 to 1,600 mm,” the company said in a statement. ”These lines have already been installed and have completely fulfilled the customer’s expectations in production. The remaining 11 lines ordered with this major contract have also been produced and shipped to the customer, and will be installed and commissioned within the next few weeks. They are PVC pipe extrusion lines to manufacture pipes with dimensions between 500 and 1,200 mm in diameter.”
The China subsidiary, which is located in Foshan, was established 18 years ago to produce extrusion components and complete extrusion lines for the Chinese market. According to battenfeld-cincinnati, it has seen “continuous growth ever since”, and currently employs 180 workers. The subsidiary accounts for about 25 per cent of the company’s total sales.
