In a bid to expand its aftermarket services capabilities, extrusion and converting equipment maker Davis-Standard LLC has purchased Circonix Technologies LLC, a system integrator that does drive and control system retrofits.

The terms of the deal have not been disclosed.

“Davis-Standard and Circonix are both focused on providing specific process knowledge and complete turnkey solutions to customers, so the agreement makes a lot of sense from a business and customer perspective.” said Hassan Helmy, vice president of Pawtucket, Conn.-based Davis-Standard vice president. “This partnership will enable us to grow and strengthen our control system capabilities while providing another venue for Circonix to expand its customer base.”

Circonix is based in Ringwood, N.J., and also has a facility in New York. The firm’s organizational structure will remain the same, Davis Standard said, including the existing employees and manufacturing facilities.
