Colourant supplier Chromaflo bought by private equity firm

Materials Plastics ProcessesColourant system and chemical dispersion supplier Chromaflo Technologies Corporation has been acquired by private equity firm American Securities LLC.
The terms of the deal have not been disclosed. New York-based American Securities is buying Chromaflo, which is headquartered in Ashtabula, Ohio, from Arsenal Capital Partners and Nordic Capital Fund VI.
“American Securities has significant experience in the specialty chemical sector and a broad and experienced team, which will aid in our expansion,” Chromaflo president and CEO Scott Becker said in a statement.
Chromaflo family of brands includes more than 200 product lines and 7,000 products. It has production facilities in the U.S., Canada, The Netherlands, Finland, Australia, China, and South Africa. The company’s Canadian facility is located in Brampton, Ont.
