Plastique Micron, a Sainte-Claire, Que.-based blow molding plastic container manufacturer, has purchased IMBC Blowmolding Inc., a plastics processor headquartered in Orangeville, Ont.
The terms of the purchase have not been disclosed.
IMBC Blowmolding Inc. will now be known as IMBC Blowmolding (2014) Inc., and will continue to operate from its Orangeville location.
“This acquisition will allow Plastique Micron to have a second plant to even better serve its clients, including being more close to their activities in the Ontario market,” said Bernard Poitras, Plastique Micron president.
Founded in 1989, IMBC Blowmolding operates from a 70,000-square-foot facility, and currently runs 17 blow molding machines and four secondary production lines. The company makes bottles up to eight liters in PVC, PET, HDPE, LDPE, and PP.
