Oerlemans Packaging buys laminated film maker Flexpak

In a move aimed at extending its production portfolio, Netherlands-based Oerlemans Packaging Group has acquired laminated film maker Flexpak, also headquartered in The Netherlands.
The deal was closed in early May 2016; financial details have not been released.
Based in Geldermalsen, about 35 km southeast of Utrecht, Flexpak produces laminated film, as well as high-quality printed OPP, CPP and BOPP film and sheet, catering mostly to customers from the food industries in both The Netherlands and abroad.
Following the purchase, Flexpak owner and managing director Thies Oosterhuis will retire.
The Oerlemans Packaging Group operates seven production sites and provides a wide array of flexible packaging solutions to a number of different end markets. It is comprised of Oerlemans Plastics, Plasthill, Perfon, Oosterwolde Plastic Industrie, Fardem Packaging, and now also Flexpak.
