Insulation and packaging supplier Novostrat Ltd. is set to launch production in what the company says will be the largest polyethylene foam producing facility in Europe.
The factory, situated in Olszyna, Poland, will produce foam for building insulation and soundproofing and for the packaging and floorboard industry.
The buildings were acquired by Poland-based Novostrat from the bankrupt Olszna Furniture Factory. According to a press release, Novostrat already has approximately 40 workers employed at the site, with a total of nearly 300 expected to be working after production has started.
The factory’s entire output will be exported to Western Europe, the company said, in particular France and Germany.
“This factory will not only be Novostrat’s largest factory but it will be the largest polyethylene foam producing facility in the whole of Europe,” said Henryk Arciszewski, vice president at Novostrat. “In fact, it is the scale of the production that we plan to start in Olszyna, that makes the project so profitable.”
In addition to factories in Poland, Novostrat operates facilities in France and Ireland.
