The line is the company’s first investment in W&H technology and is expected to be in production in autumn 2014.

W&H is headquartered in Lincoln, R.I., and its 3-layer Optimex line was first made available in 2009.

In July 2014, Polykar announced an $8 million expansion to its manufacturing facility in Saint-Laurent, Montreal. This includes not only the new Optimex,  but also an additional 30,000 square feet to its current LEED certified building. By the end of 2014, the completed expansion will result in a 105,000-square-foot facility.
