Nominations are now open for the Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE) annual Thermoformer of the Year Award. 

Nominations are now open for the Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE) annual Thermoformer of the Year Award. 

 

The award, handed out by the SPE’s Thermoforming Division, is designed to recognize an individual who has made a significant contribution to the thermoforming industry in a technical, educational, or managerial capacity.

The nomination deadline is December 15, 2014. The 2015 Thermoformer of the Year will be recognized at the awards dinner held during the 24th Annual SPE Thermoforming Conference, which will take place August 31-September 3, 2015 at the Renaissance Atlanta Waverly Hotel and the Cobb Galleria Centre in Atlanta, Ga.  Winners of the Annual Parts Competition will also be revealed during the Thermoforming Awards Dinner on Tuesday, September 1, at the hotel.

 

Last year’s Thermoformer of the Year award was received by Bill Kent of Beaverton, Mich.-based Brown Machine.

 

Guidelines for nominees and the required nomination form are posted online at http://thermoformingdivision.com/awards-recognitions/thermoformer-of-the-year/nomination-form/.  All materials must be emailed to Juliet Goff at juliet@kal-plastics.com by the December 15 deadline.
