Renners steps down as CSO of Sumitomo (SHI) Demag

Christian Renners, the chief senior officer of injection molding press manufacturer Sumitomo (SHI) Demag Plastics Machinery GmbH, is leaving the company.

Renners became Germany-based Sumitomo (SHI) Demag’s director of sales in 2007, and then CSO in 2013. 

According to a company statement, Renner is stepping down “at his own request to pursue new professional challenges.” “During his time with the company, Mr Renners significantly advanced its international sales and services,” the statement said. “He is valued for his loyalty and outstanding contribution to consolidating Sumitomo (SHI) Demag’s leading position in the market.”

Dr Okamura, CEO, will also take over the position of CSO, the statement added.
