Two Quebec-based aerospace parts makers are receiving a combined $1.38 million in repayable funding to help improve productivity from the provincial government.
First, Granby, Que.-based Avior Integrated Products Inc. will receive a $1 million loan from the government on a $5.5 million investment to boost capacity. The initiative will add about 50 jobs to its operations in Granby. The company makes parts for such companies as Boeing, Bell Helicopter Textron, and Bombardier.
Second, Montreal’s Techniprodec Ltd. is receiving a $375,000 loan on a total investment of $750,000 to help the company acquire specialized equipment for helicopter parts and landing gear components.
Both Avior and Techniprodec manufacture wide varieites of plastic components, including aircraft cabin and cockpit interior panels, fuselage components, aircraft windows, and wing tip lenses.
