Polymer manufacturer PolyOne Corporation has named a new president to head a new division.
Julie A. McAlindon has been appointed to the position of senior vice-president as well as president of Designed Structures and Solutions (DSS), a new business segment under Polyone’s Specialty Platform.
Concurrent with the soon-to-be finalized acquisition of Spartech, Avon Lake, Ohio-based PolyOne will establish DSS, which will be primarily comprised of Spartech’s former custom sheet and rollstock and packaging technologies businesses.
McAlindon previously served as the company’s vice president of marketing. She joined PolyOne after a 20-year career with The Dow Chemical Company.
