Jonathan Fischer, the president and CEO of tooling supplier Mold-Masters Limited, has stepped down.

Hamdi Conger, chairman of Georgetown, Ont.-based Mold-Masters, has been named CEO on an interim basis. According to a company press release dated September 20, Mold-Masters will announce the appointment of a new permanent CEO “shortly”.

Fischer will have continued involvement as a shareholder with family ownership within the Mold-Masters Group of Companies, the press release stated, but it did not indicate whether he would have a continuing role in day-to-day business operations.

“Jonathon Fischer had played a key strategic role in the growth of Mold-Masters to ensure the firm maintained its market leading position”, Conger said. “We thank [him] for his significant contribution over the past twenty-three years as we look forward to accelerating execution of the company’s strategy.”

According to its press release, the company doesn’t expect to make any additional structural or executive leadership changes.
