Extrusion and converting equipment maker Gloucester Engineering Co. Inc. (GEC) and Italy-based Dolci Extrusion S.r.l have made an agreement to share winding technology and offer customers the choice of either GEC or Dolci winders for their specific cast stretch film applications.

“Both companies see applications and opportunities where they will be able to better serve their customers by giving them an alternative winder choice,” said Riccardo Castello, president of Dolci Extrusion, which is headquartered in Milan.

According to Mark Steele, Gloucester, Mass.-based GEC’s chief executive officer, the companies have products that are complementary in application, costs, and functionality. “This strengthens the competiveness of our shared offerings around the world while leveraging the service capabilities of our companies,” he said.

The companies plan to release more details about the agreement in the future.
