Kathy Cirko, the vice-president of the Canadian Plastics Industry Association (CPIA), will be retiring at the end of May 2014, after 17 years with the organization.
Circo joined the Toronto-based CPIA in January 1997, as director responsible for CPIA’s programs related to sustainability, recycling and environment and health. In 2003, she was named CPIA’s vice-president with primary responsibility for the association’s plastics post-use recovery program.
“Together with the CPIA Board, members, and staff, I want to express my gratitude to Cathy for her outstanding service to CPIA, and wish her much health and happiness in her retirement,” Carol Hochu, CPIA president and CEO, said in a statement. “I’m also delighted that Cathy will be participating in the search for her replacement and in the smooth transition to the new vice-president.”
