ATS Automation completes purchase of Germany’s M+W Process

ATS Automation Tooling Systems Inc. has completed its purchase of Germany-based M+W Process Automation.

The deal was first announced in July, and the financial details have not been disclosed..

Headquartered in Cambridge, Ont., ATS employs approximately 3,500 people at 27 manufacturing facilities and 47 offices in North America, Europe, Southeast Asia and China.

M+W PA reported revenues of approximately €166 million in 2013, primarily through sales for the automotive sector.

“M+W PA’s capabilities complement ATS’s solutions in strategic customer markets and open new opportunities in several attractive industries,” said Anthony Caputo, CEO of ATS.
