Chemical distributor Dunleary buys two competitors

Baltimore, Maryland-based specialty chemical distributor Dunleary Inc. has acquired two of its American competitors for an undisclosed price.

Dunleary announced its purchase of D.N. Lukens Inc. and D&F Distributing Inc. on July 12, with a closing date set for the end of August.

Collectively, the three companies supply plastics additives and specialty resins for the construction, food, personal care, and cosmetics industries.

In a statement, Dunleary said the two purchased companies will be incorporated into the Dunleary name by late 2017.

Lukens is headquartered in Westborough, Mass., while D&F Distributing is based out of Dallas, Texas.
