German AC motor manufacturer ATS Engineering has opened its first North American operations and field services, in Plymouth, Mich.
The move is designed to give ATS an inroad into the North American market for its products, which include asynchronous and synchronous motors for industrial use in plastic extrusion processes and high-speed production machining.
"Today’s manufacturers face ever-increasing pressures to cut cost, improve quality and efficiency," said Tim Sante, the company’s North American sales manager. "These organizations will benefit from our commitment to quality, reliability and performance."
The company’s corporate headquarters is located in Dresden, Germany.
