Tony Rodrigues heads Piovan Canada

Tony Rodrigues has joined Piovan Canada Ltd., Mississauga, Ont., as CEO and director.

Piovan S.p.A., headquartered in S. Maria di Sala near Venice, Italy, became one of the world’s largest manufacturers of plastics auxiliary equipment in October 2008 when it purchased Universal Dynamics, Woodbridge, Va.

Piovan Canada will provide sales, service, spare parts and warehousing for both Universal Dynamics and Piovan equipment. The full line includes hopper loaders, dryers, dosers, temperature controllers, chillers, granulators, and full materials handling systems.

Worldwide, Piovan has four key production sites in Italy, the U.S., Brazil, and China, with a total of 750 employees, and annual sales of about 125 million euros (Cdn$195.3 million).
