Auxiliary equipment manufacturer Wittmann Canada Inc. is moving into a new 40,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility in Richmond Hill, Ont. The new facility will result in more than double the manufacturing capacity for the company, Wittmann announced on Friday.

Company president Rob Miller noted that the recent acquisition of the M-Tek line and a significant increase in staff made it necessary to move to a larger facility.

“Expansions in every department will allow us to substantially increase our ability to supply complete turnkey systems and grow the position we have held as the market leader in the Canadian plastics industry,” said Miller.

The new facility will offer complete in-house systems design, engineering, manufacturing, installation, training and spare parts. Additionally, the Richmond Hill location will feature a new 3,000 square foot training and demonstration area.

“This new facility will allow us to provide the most complete product offering, making us not only unique in Canada but globally,” added Miller.

It has been a busy year for Wittmann Canada. In June 2007, the company announced that it had purchased the M-Tek blending and materials handling line from Mould-tek Industries Inc. The company also changed its name from Nucon Wittmann to Wittmann Canada Inc.
