Ontario thought to be in lead for next Toyota plant

Home already to the Toyota/Lexus plant in Cambridge, ON, Southern Ontario may soon get the nod for the next Toyota assembly plant to be built in North America. Quoting an unnamed Toyota executives, the Wall Street Journal recently reported that Woodstock, ON is the leading candidate for the plant. According to the report, Oxford county officials and developers are preparing a 1000-acre plot of land outside of the town.
In an interview earlier in the year, a Toyota official said the company was considering sites in several states, including Michigan and Kentucky, as well as in Canada.
