In a move designed to boost its extrusion services, plastics processing equipment maker Milacron LLC has acquired extrusion machine repair and extrusion parts repair firm American Extrusion Services Inc (AES).

In a move designed to boost its extrusion services, plastics processing equipment maker Milacron LLC has acquired extrusion machine repair and extrusion parts repair firm American Extrusion Services Inc (AES).

The terms of the deal have not been disclosed.

Based in Springboro, Ohio, AES has been in business for 25 years offering extrusion, gearbox, field service and repair. AES’ staff will join the Milacron team and will continue to be based in Springboro at the current location, Milacron said in a statement; David Allison, the president and owner of AES, will serve as director of extrusion services.

 “We are thrilled to welcome David and his team to Milacron,” said Dean Roberts, president of aftermarket at Milacron. “David will be an asset here, helping to give Milacron a new offering for our customers – quick and effective extrusion machine and gearbox repair.”

Cincinnati, Ohio-based Milacron operates plastics processing equipment divisions that include Milacron plastics machinery, Mold-Masters hot runner and process control systems, DME mold technologies, and Cimcool fluid technology.
