Key Plastics wins quality award

Key Plastics LLC (Northville, MI) has received the 2004 Supplier Quality Award from Nissan North America, the second time Key Plastics has won the award. The award is given out at the Supplier Quality Award Ceremony and recognizes the best supplier in five product categories.
Key Plastics won the Chassis Business Unit category for the supply of Power Steering Reservoirs. Key Plastics also earned Nissan’s 2004 Quality Master Award and the 2004 Zero Defects Award.
The awards are based on yearlong evaluations of supplier systems, incoming quality, response time, cost reduction capability, design support, timely shipments, product performance and complexity, and warranty.
Key Plastics is a supplier to automotive Tier 1 and OEM markets. The company has global operations made up of 39 manufacturing facilities, four technical centers and mold-making facilities that provide concurrent program management and production services in North America, Europe and Asia.
