Davis-Standard names new VP, chief financial officer

Pawcatuck, Conn.-based extrusion machine manufacturer Davis-Standard LLC has appointed Robert M. Armstrong to the position of vice president and chief financial officer (CFO).
Prior to joining Davis-Standard, Robertson was the CFO at Metalor Technologies USA, based in North Attleboro, Mass.; and CFO and corporate controller for Beaverton, Mich.-based Brown Plastics Machinery.
“In his new role [Robertson] will be responsible for managing and controlling overall corporate risk and providing accurate, timely, relevant and transparent information to the various stakeholders,” the company said. “In addition, [he] will play a major role in building and executing the corporate strategy, confirming that revenues and margins continuously improve while costs are tightly controlled.”
