Davis-Standard buys Merritt Extruder Corp.

Davis-Standard LLC, announced earlier this month it has purchased Merritt Extruder Corp., in Hamden, Conn.
"This is a very positive development for Davis-Standard, Merritt and our joint customer base," said Jim Murphy, vice-president of Davis-Standard. "Merritt is a well-known respected brand name within the industry. The combination of Davis-Standard and Merritt will enable our joined forces to more effectively support our customers."
Merritt’s products will still be sold under its brand name by Davis-Standard, however Merritt’s headquarters will move to Pawcatuck, Conn., where Davis-Standard is based.
All key employees, including Sandy Guthrie, president of Merritt, will remain with the business, David-Standard said.
