Woodbridge, Ont.-based mold manufacturer Compact Mould Ltd. has expanded its research and development (R&D) centre, and also purchased the assets of injection mold manufacturer Abramo Compact Injection Blow Molds Inc., located in Brampton, Ont.
Compact Mould’s R&D centre now includes four machines available for testing new injection molding, blow molding and extrusion techniques, and R&D prototype services.
“We are confident that this centre will give our current and future customers a significant competitive advantage,” Miguel Petrucci, company president, said. “The acquisition of Abramo Compact Injection Blow Molds’ assets and the ongoing expansion of our R&D testing facility strengthen Compact’s North American presence.”
